Role: Senior Java Cloud Engineer

Reporting into: Development Manager

Salary: £85k + 10% bonus + a long list of benefits

Location: Central London – hybrid (2 days in office and 3 days WFH)

About the role:

In this role you will seat within the company’s Technology function, using Serverless AWS technology, to take the lead in managing the Java/ API engineering team in a primarily hands on role.

You will create, improve and support internal business systems while collaborating with other engineers, architects, QAs and end-users.

You will lead low level design projects when needed, using Java and cloud technology and you will participate in high level projects with the Architecture team.

You will be an advocate for AWS and the cloud, pushing others to utilise AWS services and technologies.

What we’re looking for:

5 years experience as a Java engineer, with strong knowledge of SpringBoot, JDBC, Hibernate with DBMS skills and Microservice architectures.

Experience developing applications on AWS with Lambda, ECS/Docker, API Gateway/Swagger, S3, SNS, SQS, Step functions, Kinesis, and DynamoDB is widely desirable.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience managing or mentoring other team members

Nice to have:

Experience with Python, Postgres, Elasticsearch

Media or music industry experience
