Facilities officer role in an East London based mental health charity, paying £30,596.
Your new company
Your new company is a mental health charity which provide advice and support to anyone experiencing mental health problems. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Reporting into the Facilities and Procurement manager, you will oversee decorative and building works in their offices, liaise with staff, contractors and consultants, and assist the FM with the running of the offices.
Your new role
You will oversee and co-ordinate decorative and building works for the offices of the charity (will include overnight stays in Wales). You will assist the FM with all office moves, and with the development and writing of health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work. You will have responsibility for ensuring a full programme of fire, health and safety inspections, and be in contact with contractors and service engineers. You will have indirect supervision of Office Services Assistants, ensuring planned and reactive works in the offices are completed in line with KPIs and provide guidance and assist with tasks.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record of facilities management within the voluntary sector, and have an IWFM qualification, as well as the NEBOSH general certificate. You will have knowledge and experience of overseeing tenders and building works, and office moves. You will also have proven experience of writing and implementing H&S policies and procedures, as well as experience of undertaking H&S audits, inspections, checks and training in the voluntary sector. You will have the ability to carry out practical DIY and maintenance work, and preferably be a trained Fire Marshall and First Aider.
