Salary: up to £50K per annum

Our client, a global leader in real estate and facilities management, is looking for an experienced HVAP Shift Engineer to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a business-critical environment, where you’ll be responsible for keeping essential systems safe, reliable, and fully operational. You’ll be part of a highly skilled shift team, working on a continental shift pattern, with great exposure to cutting-edge systems and continuous development opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across building systems and plant
• Responding to BMS alarms and performing emergency repairs when needed
• Acting as an Authorised Person (HVAP), preparing switching schedules and ensuring safe isolation/reinstatement of HV/LV equipment
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and compliance standards
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring they follow site procedures
• Keeping accurate maintenance records and supporting with incident response
• Building strong working relationships with client staff and your shift team
• Maintaining professional standards and delivering excellent customer service

What you’ll bring:

• HV Authorisation (essential)
• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical or Mechanical discipline
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Strong experience in a critical environment (data centres preferred)
• Excellent fault-finding and incident management skills
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work
• A proactive, organised, and reliable approach
• Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset
