Hays are representing a large public sector organisation who have four sites in Northern Ireland which comprises of a number of buildings ranging in ages and design including administration buildings, lecture theatres, sports halls, laboratories and libraries as well as an expansive outdoor landscape incorporating sports pitches and car parking. They are seeking a CAD Support Technician to assist their estates assets team with the management, updating, creation and filing of all Computer Aided Drawings of the estate.

Your new role
This is a temporary role for a 3-6-month duration, working 3 days a week. You will have the option to be based from Derry/Londonderry, Belfast or Coleraine.
Reporting to the Senior Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Computer Aided Drawings held for the estate. This will involve updating and amending drawings to reflect changes made to properties including small modifications, creating new drawings and managing the drawing filing system.

What you’ll need to succeed
Ideally you will have over 2 years experience working in a similar role for an estates team, building or engineering contractor or consulting firm.
You will be highly proficient in Auto CAD and be familiar with filing systems for CAD drawings.
It would be highly beneficial to have a City & Guild CAD qualification or hold a construction or engineering related qualification such as an HND/C or Degree.

What you’ll get in return
Salary will be c.£23,000 pro rata.
