We are seeking a pro-active detail-oriented Assistant Fabric Technologist to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about fabrics, innovation, and sustainability in the fashion /textile industry. The UK team will offer training in the role and ensure there is visibility of the whole fabric process.
Assistant Fabric Technologist – Responsibilities
Working closely with the fabric team in UK and offshore
Supporting on the fabric technical side
Reviewing testing and communicating to mill and teams
Bulk testing submissions to customers
Maintaining customer testing portals
Maintaining fabric critical path to ensure testing and submissions in time and highlight if dates are at risk
Supporting the delivery of sustainability across customers by updating any changes on customer sites
ZDHC, incheck reporting and bi-annual clear stream testing to be monitored and reviewed
Co ordinating traceability and visibility across off shore teams and UK
Updating approved mill lists with offshore offices
Monitoring and updating trim and lining library
Assistant Fabric Technologist – Skills and Requirements:
A degree or diploma in Fashion, or Textile Technology, Textile Science, or a related field.
Previous experience (internships or entry-level roles) in textiles, fabrics, or material development.
Basic understanding of fabric properties, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Passion for textiles and sustainability in the fashion or textile industry.
Proactive, eager to learn, and open to feedback for continuous improvement.
