APPOINTMENT OF THE CLERK (CHIEF EXECUTIVE)

The Musicians’ Company encourages, supports and promotes musical education and performance of the highest professional standards.

We wish to appoint a full-time Clerk to start in September 2024. The Clerk reports to the Court of the Company and is based at our offices in the Barbican.

The Musicians’ Company is unusual in that it combines all the civic and ceremonial roles of an historic City of London Livery Company, together with administering a wide variety of activities involving music. These include awarding high-profile scholarships, prizes and medals, arranging competitions and the operation of our substantial Young Artists Programme.

The role of Clerk requires an exceptional leader with a broad skill-set to manage and guide the evolution of the Company through the next decade.
